“I believe the Gospel is that alchemy of God’s compassion which changes houses into homes, groups into families, happiness into joy, belief into faith, knowledge into wisdom, energy into spiritual strength, service into sacrament, quiet into peace, acquaintance into friendship, and affection into love.”*
Greetings and welcome to my blog, a journal space where I record thoughts and questions that come to me while praying the Daily Office.
I began this blog in 2011 while a seminarian at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA. Some seasons I’ve been blessed to reflect daily, others weekly and still others only occasionally.
I am a Priest in The Episcopal Church, serving most recently as Priest-in-Charge at Trinity Episcopal Church in Sonoma, California, retiring from full-time ministry November 2024, and presently serving as Supply Priest in both in the Diocese of California and the Diocese of Northern California.
I am grateful for this space to pause at and ponder God’s Word that, together, we may hear what the Spirit is saying to God’s people, this day.
Thank you for stopping by.
My best and God’s pax
Lisa+
