From this morning’s psalm, these verses...Psalm 71: 17 O God, you have taught me since I was young, * and to this day I tell of your wonderful works. 18 And now that I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me, * till I make known your strength to this generation and your power to all who are to come. 19 Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens; * you have done great things; who is like you, O God? ...along with this view as I take off again for another port - which have me thinking of my dear father who turns 91 today, February 7. I give thanks for him and for how he has loved Jesus - showing me the way - he has shown me great things. Thank you O God, for my father. And Happy Birthday dad! #cloudsofwitnessesinmyfamily #cloudsofwitnesseswhereeveriamoramheadedtoTurned around to catch this moment on the way to dinner this evening. Not only was I surprised by the light and the clouds and the beauty but also by the the reminder the view served up - that it is in turning back - that I see the Lord, God has mine. #lestiforget #cloudsofwitnessesoverthesanfranciscobay #turntogodWaiting for my flight out of Indianapolis to the West Coast. Sitting here under the airport’s #cloudsofwitnesses beginning to unpack all the good news that was preached to me over the past 4 days at the TEC Forma Conference - “Formed to Proclaim” - the conference focused on Evangelism and Liturgy. Question posed in today’s final eucharist at Christ Church Cathedral from the Rt Rev Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows, “Is The Episcopal Church experiencing another conversion and is this the beginning of the glory years for God’s church - for the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement?” If the last 4 days are any indication one way or another, I’d say yes, amen and alleluia! #forma19 #cloudsofwitnessesindianapolis #jesus- Follow Trinity Seasons on WordPress.com

The earth groans
Today’s excerpt from Paul’s letter to the Romans brought to mind a TED talk recently shared with me by my son – my son, the rancher. He is presently employed by a fully operational and profitable “teaching” ranch (like teaching … Continue reading

Taken By a Cloud I’ve been surprised at the push back I’ve heard from many people of faith about the new film, Lincoln, based in part on the Doris Kearns Goodwin book, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham … Continue reading
